Treating Frozen Shoulder with Acupuncture

I’m the type of person that needs to experience something for myself in order to truly believe something ‘works’. Therefore, the range of therapies I practise have all been tried and tested by myself first. I’m a difficult one to persuade when it comes to effectiveness, so congratulations to those therapies that passed my rigorous testing and scepticism!

Three years ago I trained to become an auricular (ear) acupuncture practitioner. Having never experienced ear acupuncture prior to this, naturally when first attending the course I began with my usual sceptical standpoint. Needless to say, only a few days into the training, I was astounded by the effects. Having been practised on amongst students during the course, receiving repeated treatments resulted in my energy levels increasing to a point I had not experienced in a very long time.

Shortly after qualifying, I was approached by a client who had been suffering severely with a frozen shoulder for nearly 9 months. He had attempted Chiropractic and Osteopath treatments but to no avail, he still wasn’t able to lift his left arm above shoulder height, which caused significant issues as his occupation was very physically demanding. After receiving only two auricular acupuncture treatments, he demonstrated the dramatic difference by now being able to lift his arm all the way up to touch his head. If he wasn’t amazed, I certainly was! He was convinced it was the effects of the acupuncture as he wasn’t receiving any other treatment at the time.
